“There was an ordinary turtle who was always carrying a heavy shell on his back. The shell pressed her to the ground, and every step was hard for the tortoise. Therefore her life, measured by the number of these difficult steps, was also not easy.

But when a hungry fox came from the neighboring forest, the tortoise hid his head under his shell and calmly waited out the danger. Fox jumped around, tried the shell on a tooth, tried to turn over his victim, in short, used all the inherent aggressor techniques, but the Turtle stood on its own and remained alive.

One day Fox brought a large purse, brought a lawyer and, sitting opposite, offered his services to buy a shell. Long thought Turtle, but due to poverty of imagination had to refuse. And again the redhead left with nothing.

Time passed, the world was changing. New technical telecommunication means appeared in the forest. And one day, coming out of the house, the turtle saw hanging on a tree television screen, which demonstrated flying turtles without a shell. An excited woodpecker announcer commented on their flight: “What lightness! What speed! What beauty! What grace!”

A day the turtle watched these programs, two, three ….

And then the thought crossed her little mind that she was a fool to be carrying around such a heavy shell. Wouldn’t it be better to throw it off? Life would be so much easier then. Scary? Yes, a little scary, but in the latest news, TV anchorwoman Owl said that Fox has joined the Hare Krishnas and has already become a vegetarian.

The world is changing. The forest is also becoming quite different, there are less and less trees and original animals, and more and more stray dogs and jackals resembling each other.

Why not fly? The sky – it’s so big and so beautiful!

“It’s enough to give up my shell and I’ll feel better at once!” – thought the Turtle.

“Just give up the shell and she’ll be easier to eat!” thought the Fox. – thought the Fox, signing the bill for another flying turtle commercial.

And one fine morning, when the sky seemed bigger than ever, Turtle took her first and Last step toward freedom from the defense system.

The Turtle did not know, and will never know again, that information warfare is the purposeful teaching of an enemy how to remove the shell from himself.”

The parable of the tortoise and the fox is taken from S. P. Rastorguev’s book, “Information Warfare”.

Simple conclusion:

To achieve victory in information warfare, it is necessary to shape the informational circumstances for the enemy in such a way that even with the best experts involved, he is forced to take only such steps that favor only you…
