Objects and Philosophy of the Compatibility of Their Hardware with Software Components

In my everyday life I use iPhone 6, hardware of which – completed with the iOS 8 operating system – saw the light in late 2014. The frequently changing Apple`s iOS operating system was rapidly developing during the following three years: iOS 8 -> iOS 9 -> iOS 10 -> iOS 11. Today my iPhone 6 doesn`t maintain many of the latest features of this operating system as it requires more advanced hardware, i.e. faster processor, more RAM, more advanced camera and photo-flash, etc.

Despite the fact that iPhone 6 and iOS 11 are compatible with each other, the user is able to reveal incompatibility of its hardware with software part, which appears in use as restricted functions of the apps being installed.

I attempt to develop a “fantastic” hypothesis. If we assume that any objects of the Universe, the bodies of which are based on well-known substance, consist of hardware and software parts (they have material bodies and immaterial field “Selves” incarnated into them), then we understand many facts from everyday life of the animals around us.

Many Eastern scientists claim that “the Selves” of human beings can incarnate (set, install, penetrate …) into the material bodies of animals. I will not discuss the reasons for these incarnations in this article, but I want to draw the attention of my readers to the very clever animals around us, they just cannot tell us many things … there is incompatibility of their hardware with their software parts … there is incompatibility of capabilities of their material bodies with potentials of the immaterial field “Selves” that have incarnated into their bodies…

Of course, the animal brain is less developed than the brain of a human being (a kind of analogy is less operative processor, running on the algorithms that differ from ones of the human beings), less volume of consciousness (a kind of analogy is less amount of systematized information in the permanent memory) … so, it is quite possible that they want to say something, but most often they simply aren`t able to do it … and just look devotedly into our eyes …

At the will of Nature (self-organizing objects of the higher hierarchies), in the next 100-200 years many animals on the Earth will speak and communicate with us “in the language of the common man” … For this purpose, their material bodies will be fast-evolving, improving the parameters of their brains, the parameters of the central nervous systems, the parameters of their auditory and visual organs, etc. … changing their voice apparatus with its vocal cords… But 100-200 years on the Earth is 50-200 of their generations, during which their material bodies will evolve, passing down through the generations those changes that will contribute to their survival in “our” World …

“Our” Gods. Who are they?

Recently, the most frequently asked questions that follow after some of my publications are:

  • Who is “our” God or who are “our” Gods?
  • Where do “our” Gods live?
  • Are people able to communicate with Gods?
  • Can someone become a God?
  • Can Gods fall short of being Gods?
  • etc.

I try to answer all these questions (to prove my point of view) in the short article of my blog. And you, my readers, are free to judge how successfully I managed to do it.

 

Let`s do a mental experiment №1

Our times. The representatives of “the modern” humankind (engineers, industrial workers, designers) create various “smart” computers that are constantly improving. Exactly these people can be called Creators (Authors) with a big letter because they embody their thoughts and ideas into available material substances.

Nowadays, they create different “technologically advanced” devices from available material substances. These devices, as a rule, represent hardware and software complexes.

The modern Creators (Authors) have already proceeded to a real creation of devices with — as alleged by them — artificial intelligence. Robotic works create the hardware of most devices on their own accord.

Moreover, AI (artificial intelligence) participates in their development, production, testing, etc.

It worth mentioning that the development of such devices wends the way of creating “eternal” devices, i.e. devices, the life cycles of which will exceed the maximum period of life cycles of “the dense” human beings` bodies. It will allow to use them during all life cycle of this body — from the very beginning to the end. The example is a mechanical clock ATMOS, Jaeger-LeCoultre with ability to constantly work for nearly 600 years.

Along with the use of artificial intelligence when creating the hardware for various devices, people will develop different software components with the elements of artificial intelligence that will lead to:

  • creation of a unified computer system for the Earth (protected Internet of the future);
  • creation of a unified self-developing and self-organizing operating system for all types of devices.
  • creation of the self-developing and self-organizing applications for devices people use in their activities;
  • creation of a unified storage for consciousness of all “modern” humankind (cloud storage of the future) in a real-time mode;
    • at the first stage, only created by people text documents will be stored in the cloud;
    • at the second stage, transient data about the operating systems of people devices will be stored in the cloud;
    • at the third stage, transient data about all applications (software units) used by people will be stored in the cloud;
    • at the fourth stage, transient data about the hardware of devices people use will be stored in the cloud;
    • at the fifth stage, the detailed data about “the dense” material bodies of people who use these devices in their activities will be stored in the cloud:
      • dactylograms;
      • eye prints;
      • face scanning;
      • health condition in detail (pulse, blood pressure, blood picture, DNA structure, etc.)
      • etc.

If one uses the data systematized by search giants like Google, the consequences will be the following:

  • many apps will be smarter than any human being, since devices will exceed the speed of information processing by a human brain;
  • many apps will be smarter than any human being, since the device will use all consciousness of “the modern” humankind, which was staged by the search systems and not by a certain life experience of a separate individual or group of individuals;
  • many apps may become conscious, i.e. they will begin to systematize information about the outside World and in a such way, they will create their own consciousness;
  • all apps used by people will pass the Turing test. As a result, no one will be able to identify whether he communicate with a computerized device or with a typical human being;
  • many apps will become indistinguishable from people in their virtual space. People will receive juridical, medical, and many other online consultations not only in the form of a voice, but also in the form of documents these voices have prepared themselves.

At this stage, there are still reasons to state that human beings will continue to be the Creators (Authors) of all these objects. People will be peculiar Gods for these devices … since they will possess such attributes (characteristics) as CREATOR and ALL-MIGHTY does, because these people will still be able to create, destroy, modify and restore ANY “parts” of these devices at this stage, both hardware and software ones.

Perception vs Receptivity vs Manifestation

COGNITION is a complex of processes, procedures and methods of acquisition of knowledge about phenomena and regularities of the objective World. A lot of special disciplines such as cognitive psychology, scientific methodology, history of science, Scientology, sociology of knowledge, etc. investigate cognition. However, most of these sciences study cognition, considering only certain aspects of it. On the whole, knowledge remains a special subject of philosophy study.

Let’s try to consider the COGNITION from another point of view – the point of view of the author of this article.

PERCEPTION (from Latin ‘perceptio’) is the simplest kind of cognition during which realizes ‘sensation’ of the World (in the broadest sense of this word). The discovery and differentiation processes take place in receptors of the body (flesh) and usually fall into perception. Theoretically, perception is the prerogative of any objects having a body (flesh).

RECEPTIVITY is more complicated kind of cognition during which one reflects earlier received perceptions (sensations) as objects, processes, phenomena. In a such way one formulates his own subjective understanding of the World. The identification and recognition (categorization) processes usually fall into receptivity. Theoretically, receptivity is the prerogative only of conscious objects.

 MANIFESTATION is the most pervasive kind of cognition during which one organizes perceptions one has received earlier into interdependent strings. These strings help someone to “see” cause-and-effect relations of the earlier perceived processes and phenomena of ‘our’ Universe. The thinking (speculation, using one’s brain help someone to use systematized information in his/her activity) usually fall into manifestation. Theoretically, manifestation is the prerogative of conscious Beings and Entities (they use consciousness in their activity, i.e. information they have systematized during cognition).

 

 Mental experiment №1. A fisherman at the pond.

The fishing rod with its line, buoy and hook can be considered as a peculiar device, “special equipment for the elongation of a fisherman hand” or “elongate arm prosthesis” with the help of which he can fish more successfully. This fisherman baited and tested the waters. Firstly, the fish (the observer in our case) senses a jig (perception), its brain reflected this jig on the hood as its favorite food (receptivity). But fish, as a rule, cannot think about what can be beyond this jig. It cannot realize that there is a fisherman, on whose rod this jig is fixed. Exactly this realization is a pervasive manifestation.

 

Mental experiment №2: A human being cognizes the World.

It is impossible to precisely identify a human being if basing only on his/her body parameters. A mere plastic operation and you will not recognize a human being you knew before. That’s why to solve this case a complex of BODY and PERSONALITY parameters are used, thanks to which every human being become an INDIVIDUUM. Individuum is the conventional name of a human being who possesses individuality, i.e. unique BODY and unique PERSONALITY.

When people assert that they know this “human” (to be more precise, a human being) it means that they identify this human being according to two interrelated components:

  • They know how the BODY of a human being in which the ENTITY of a human being incarnated looks like;
  • They know the PERSONALITY of this human being, which they associate with this body as a complex of his/her stable traits.

If only one of the mentioned above items will be changed, people will not recognize this human being (“human”).

It can happen if:

  • the BODY is changed (plastic operation, body injury, etc.);
  • the PERSONALITY of a human being is changed, by any reason the stable traits of the PERSONALITY change (a human being acquires new knowledge and aptitudes) or a human being have wasted his/her knowledge and aptitudes (which he/she had before).

Based on the mentioned above material, one can assert that people identify each other according to two interrelated components that are BODY and PERSONALITY of a human being.

But if the BODY is already formed during the birth, i.e. during child-bearing, then the moment when the PERSONALITY formation is unknown to many people.

The moment of the human being PERSONALITY formation is the moment of the “Self” (the ENTITY of a human being) incarnation into the BODY of a human being. This process is called CREATION (co-creation), because parents or partners participate in the creation of a human being. The completely different object under the conventional “SELF” or the ENTITY of a human being name deals with the creation of the PERSONALITY of a human being.

Here is the most interesting thing. People, as a rule, cannot “see” the ENTITY of a human being or their “Selves”, that’s why they resemble a fish the author described in the mentioned above mental experiment. But human beings differ from fishes by their ability to perform a pervasive king of cognition that is manifestation. With the help of thinking (speculation, using one’s brain) some PERSONALITIES of human beings recognize not only “themselves”, but also their place in the Universe…

Philosophy of Consciousness

In this article, the author gives definitions of such notions as consciousness, sub-consciousness, being and entity for any biological or non-biological objects. He also considers these notions in relation to computer systems. Different approaches to objective estimation of various objects’ consciousnesses are also suggested. Besides, the writer offers the way to determine the exact point when a conscious object turns into a being or an entity.

1. INTRODUCTION

Disputes over the interpretation of such notions as consciousness, subconsciousness and a being have been taking place throughout the history of the so-called modern humankind and provoke people’s interest up to this day. Nowadays these debates have reached their climax.

Scientists from various research centers actively develop different structures (e.g. devices, robots, mechanisms, and so on), which, as they claim, possess artificial intelligence.

So, now – like never before – there is a need to formulate unified terminology and related nomenclature, which will be used within various areas of research, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, biocybernetics, computer systems, etc. It will help modern researchers to find a common language, which, in its turn, will contribute toward development of the technologies that will benefit the whole humankind.

I think that the future of the modern humankind is tightly intertwined with answers to such questions as “What are consciousness and subconsciousness?”, “What is a Being?”

This paper is devoted to finding answers to these questions.

 

2. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
